Scott Prentice Architects
The office of Scott Prentice Architects was established in 1995 and has since maintained a wide range of architectural work including retail/restaurant, office and production facilities and residential projects.  
Scott Prentice Architects is a purposefully small, design-oriented firm that stresses good planning with integrated finishes, fixtures and furniture together with an overall respect for each projects unique characteristics from site and context to spirit and budget. We are committed to sustainable, high-performance building strategies as a natural part of our design process. Our firm brings together a group of talented individuals with diverse backgrounds in architecture, design, graphics, business and construction.
Prior to establishing his own firm, Scott Prentice worked with Josh Schweitzer of Schweitzer BIM in Los Angeles for over ten years beginning as the lone employee and graduating to project architect for work in the US and abroad. Mr. Prentice also worked in Los Angeles with Mark Rios of Rios Associates (formerly Rios/Pearson).    
Scott Prentice grew up near San Diego and attended California State Polytechnic University in Pomona, California. During his studies, he spent a year abroad in Florence, Italy with the California State University International Program. While in Italy, he stayed on to work in the office of Matteo Thun, an architect and industrial designer in Milan, where he worked on a wide range of projects from Museum Show Designs to Product Designs for various European companies. Mr. Prentice is a member of the American Institute of Architects  and a LEED Accredited Professional.
Current  and recently completed projects include homes in Santa Monica Canyon, Woodside, Portola Valley, Bel Air and the Hollywood Hills. In late 2006, the firm completed the renovation and adaptive reuse of the icon 1924 Marquez Filling Station in Santa Monica Canyon- transforming this historic landmark into the soon-to-be LEED-certified new home of Scott Prentice Architects. The project received the 2007 Los Angeles Conservancy Preservation Award.
